Gerson Foks built an application for Anne Pinget that allowed visitors to the DRONGO language festival to test their knowledge of language variation within the Netherlands. Users of the application hear voices of speakers with different accents (Brabant accent, Limburgian, Amsterdam, Groningen, etc.). They can then locate the origin of the speaker on a map of the Netherlands. The answers are stored and used for linguistic research.
