LimeSurvey allows users to quickly create intuitive, powerful, online question-and-answer surveys that can work for tens to thousands of participants without much effort. This open-source initiative did however not yet allow for straightforward collection of speech. Using HTML5-techniques the DH-lab created an audio recording question type for LimeSurvey on request of dr. Hans van de Velde.
